Pritam Singh Sahni, or "Kasad"〔Sahni〕 (1924–2008) was a Punjabi poet〔http://www.panjabdigilib.org/webuser/searches/mainpage.jsp?CategoryID=1&Author=3715〕 from New Delhi, India. Kasad was very active in the Punjabi Kavi circles. He has authored more than 20 books of Punjabi poetry. Apart from that, he was a very talented playwright. His family moved from Gah, Pakistan during Partition of India in 1947. He struggled to support his family and settle in new place. Still he found time to write and also go to various cities to participate all over India. He even received a letter of appreciation from Jawaharlal Nehru in 1962. In 1999, he was part of the Kavi Darbar celebrating birthday of Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
